Receh.in - PT Rajawali Corpora, a company owned by businessman Peter Sondakh, has sold its entire stake in PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk (TAXI). Rajawali Corpora had previously held 1.094.310.000 shares of TAXI, or 10.7% of the company.
The shares were sold at Rp 3.90 per share on January 10th and 12th, 2023, for a total value of Rp 4.26 billion. The purpose of the transaction was for divestment, according to a statement from Rajawali Corpora Director Abed Nego. The identity of the buyer of Rajawali Corpora's shares in TAXI was not disclosed.
As of December 30, 2022, the shareholders of TAXI were Rajawali Corpora (10.7%), Zico Trust Ltd (22.39%), Asuransi Multi Artha Graha (5.53%), and the public (61.38%).
It has been previously reported that PT Basis Utama Prima is planning to acquire 35% of the shares in TAXI. Basis Utama is controlled by Hapsoro Sukmonohadi, also known as Happy Hapsoro, the husband of Puan Maharani.
In recent days, the TAXI shares were stagnant at Rp 50, but recently had a surge in transactions. On January 25th, the volume was 157,80 thousand shares, with a frequency of 14 times, and a transaction value of Rp 7,89 million. Meanwhile, on the previous day, the volume was 2,57 million shares, with a frequency of 37 times, and a transaction value of Rp 128,25 million.
