Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Allocates Rp800 Billion for 2023 Capex

PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA), the operator of Mitra Keluarga Hospitals, has announced its capital expenditure (capex) budget for 2023 at Rp800 billion, an increase from last year's budget of Rp750 billion. According to a statement from the 1st Session Closing of the IDX Channel, the capex budget will be used to continue the company's business expansion this year.

In addition to building new hospitals, MIKA will be expanding its business by purchasing and adding medical equipment to its existing facilities. This is done to improve the quality and complexity of its hospital services.

The company is currently building its 30th hospital, located in Grand Wisata Bekasi, which is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023. Two other hospitals will start construction in the second quarter of this year. Although the locations of these two hospitals have not been disclosed, MIKA aims to have them completed and operational by 2024.

MIKA reported a decrease in net profit in the third quarter of 2022. The company recorded a net profit of Rp744.18 billion, a decrease of 15.69% from the same period the previous year, which was Rp882.76 billion. The company's revenue also decreased by 9.79% to Rp3.07 trillion, from Rp3.40 trillion in the previous year. The revenue from inpatient services was recorded at Rp2.02 trillion, down from Rp2.23 trillion in the previous year, while the revenue from outpatient services was recorded at Rp1.05 trillion, down from Rp1.16 trillion in the previous year.

Based on its geographical region, revenue in Jakarta and West Java was recorded at Rp2.50 trillion, while the revenue in Tegal and Surabaya was recorded at Rp564.68 billion, and the rest was recorded at Rp994.30 billion.
